Specialist Scottish Borders solicitors expand into driver accident claims

Local Borders Solicitors Firm, RTA Law LLP has launched a new service to serve drivers who have been involved in road traffic collisions.

The firm, which is based in Peebles was founded in 2011 to provide specialist legal services for vulnerable road users. Through their brand names, Motorcycle Law Scotland and Cycle Law Scotland, RTA Law LLP has brought a level of personal, tailored and bespoke legal service previously unseen in the personal injury segment of the legal sector.

Having grown to become market leaders in both cycling and motorcycling accident claims, RTA Law has developed an enviable level of expertise over the last 15 years, especially when it comes to complex and large loss claims.

With a team which has now expanded to 14, the firm now turns its attentions to applying that knowledge, expertise and tailored service to drivers who have been involved in road traffic collisions.

The launch of this service comes at a crucial time for drivers in the Scottish Borders with the A698 road from Kelso to Jedburgh recently being named as the most dangerous road in the UK. The rural nature of roads in the Scottish Borders area does mean that drivers are more susceptible to risks. High energy impacts resulting is serious injuries are common in the Borders region.

Equipping RTA Law’s Solicitors with the skills to deal with these kinds of claims was an important consideration for the Firm.

“We made a conscious decision to upskill our Solicitors in order to better serve our clients. Each Solicitor has completed an Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) training course and test, and most of us are members of advanced driving groups such as the Borders Group of Advanced Motorists. Understanding vehicle dynamics on a deeper level was paramount for us when putting staff through these training courses and now, they can use those skills and apply them to helping our clients progress their claims”, said Zara Jones, Partner.
