Thomas is a Partner at RTA LAW LLP.
A graduate of both Aberdeen and Edinburgh University, Thomas joined RTA LAW LLP in July 2017 and was promoted to Partner in 2024.
Thomas specialises in claims involving complex liability issues and has a broad experience of pursuing cases in Scotland’s Sheriff Courts, the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session.
As a result of his expertise representing vulnerable road users, Thomas is often called upon to appear in the media to provide a legal commentary on topics relating to this user group. Thomas has appeared on BBC Radio, BBC television and other media outlets over the years, even debating ex-MP Lembit Öpik about cycle safety on his talk show.
Thomas is a member of the Borders Group of Advanced Motorists, holding advanced driving qualifications for both a car (F1RST) and a motorcycle. He is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Outside the office, Thomas enjoys riding his Triumph Scrambler on a sunny day, going on long forest walks with his labrador, mountain biking in the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders and spending time with his family.
